The second of two entrances each side of river (Boyes, P W 2000.02.22 Mss) lies also opposite across the Wah Umgot from the second one and rift cave passage in calcareous Langpar Sandstone. SITUATION: Also in the vicinity of Dauki or Dowki, again an estimated 50 m upstream from a bridge at an unidentified location, and once more either on the west (orographically right) or on the east (left) bank of the Wah Umgot (in Bengali: Piyain Ganga). Both of the two Dauki Rift Caves are accessible by boat (Boyes, P W 2000.02.22 Mss: Dowki cave; BOYES, P W 2000 s.a.: 5, 11). CAVE DESCRIPTION 2000a: Tectonical slip rift 6 m High by 1.5 m Wide (Boyes, P W 2000.02.22 Mss). CAVE DESCRIPTION 2000b: A tectonic [sic!] rift feature or enlarged bedding plane in sandstone (WILKINSON 2000: 48) is estimated 1.5 m wide, 6 m high and together with the 1st –>Dauki Rift Cave estimated 30 m long. CAVE DESCRIPTION 2000c: … Dowki cave, again a rift cave (one each side of river) (BOYES, P W 2000 s.a.: 5). CAVE DESCIPTION 2000d: Dowki Cave … Two entrances each side of river … Rift cave (BOYES, P W 2000 s.a.: 11).
