Tham Ban Ton Maprow - KA0364
14.876254,98.874267
Location
The entrance is at the end of a shallow blind valley 1 km southeast of Ban Ton Maprow.
Description
The cave consists of some meandering stream passages, spacious in places, and a small upper level section. There are a few patches of decoration, but most of the cave has bare bedrock walls and a mud or gravel floor. While the cave was dry in April 1996 it appears to take a considerable volume of water in the wet season. Flood debris (forest litter) had built up in several places and completely blocked two passages. As these blockages may not be permanent it would be worth checking the cave after each wet season. The cave trends in a southwesterly direction towards the Camp Stream doline and the Right Hand (Waterfall) Branch of Tham Nam Tok. The end of the cave is approximately 600m from the sump at the end of Tham Nam Tok.
