28.714400,83.658300
Description
An unspecified cave entrance (unidentified shape, unidentified dimensions, unidentified orientation, unidentified characteristics) is said to give access to a relatively small bolder choked cave of unidentified dimensions above a rising but no other signs of cave development (WALTHAM 1971e: 46). Listed as Tukche Cave N°4 (PAVEY 1976b: 8). SITUATION: At an estimated walking distance of about 1.5 km along the footpath (as it ran in 1970 AD) up-valley from Tukche: The rising of 2 c.f.s [56.6 ltr/s] issues from fractures in thin bedded limestone almost at river level. It has a temperature of 12°C, [or] 2°C above the river temperature. It is close to the stratigraphic top of the [Nilgiri-] Limestone and maybe partly supplied from sinks in the bed of Dambush Khola [or: Yamkin Khola] only 1.5 miles [2.5 km] to the west and about 300 feet [90 m] higher (WALTHAM 1971e: 46).
