Location
Wat Sri Thawan is to the east of Ban Khao Thong, a village on the H323 on the eastern outskirts of Kanchanaburi town. Follow the track 700m south-east from the temple. The track is a walk or motorcycle ride, though possibly a good 4x4 could make it, with the risk of a 500m reverse if impassable. At the end of the driveable track is a shrine with exposed limestone in a tile lined pit. After a short walk a 1.5m diameter cave entrance can be seen on the left of the track.
Description
The entrance pitch drops 4 to 5m down to a larger passage with the smell of bats.
