14.590600,74.567500
Description
A less than a metre wide but high, rift-shaped cave entrance leads to a dark, bat infested cave passage leading to a second entrance and perched viewpoint. CAVE DESCRIPTION 1: A series of rock caves (consider a honourific plural) represent a bat infested labyrinth (KAMATH 2001). CAVE DESCRIPTION 2: A relatively small cave-like hole which leads the way inside the rock where one can venture into this small opening by crawling. Inside there is a new world of rocks and one can climb up to about half the distance to get a delightful view (southnexus.com accessed 2002.11.21). SITUATION: Inside the Bhairaveshwara Shikara (karst tower) in the –>Bhairav kshetra (Yana) and, according to KAMATH (2001) to the left (facing the main temple?) where the cave is reached by an about 200 m long, small, and thorny footpath. CAVE LIFE: KAMATH (2001) noted bats (Chiroptera).

EXPLORATION HISTORY: 2002.12.11: H. D. Gebauer peeped but wearing travelling clothes was far too under-equipped to squeeze up in bat shit.
