The suspicious place name »Lungpuk« is indicated on the map »Mizoram leh a Chhehvêl« (produced by RALTE, C Vawra, circa 1997 s.a.) in the south-south-east of (the lake) Palak Dil, and on the road to Khenkang in the very south-eastern corner of Chhimtuipui East district. ETYMOLOGY: The Mizo ”lung pûk” (noun) signifies »a rocky cave, a cavern, a grotto« (LORRAIN 1940: 303).
