Description

Herbert Daniel Gebauer - 05/07/2016

An estimated 5 m wide circular cave entrance descends an estimated 10 m vertically down to a floor where boulders and vegetation obscure possible ways on. ETYMOLOGY: No autochthonous, indigenous or locally known name has been identified for what passing outsiders referred to as »Zuala Pouk« (Georg Bäumler 1999 personal communication) because Zuala Ralsun from Khaddum (in 2006 taxi driver in Shillong) had guided Georg Bäumler to this cave entrance. SITUATION: In fairly dense vegetation approximately 100 m north of –>Bak Pouk, Khaddum (±100 m 25°09'58”N: 92°26'50”E) and an estimated 80 m in a direct line approximately east of what had been in February 1999 the footpath from Khaddum north to Sielkan.
