Description
An unspecified cave or rock shelter containing rock art (drawings in red pigment) reported COCKBURN (1983b: 125) from a place called Murround in the Chunar tahsil in the eastern half of Mirzapur district, and at a distance of 4.2 km from Sookerit (note 1) near Ahraura (N25°01': E083°04' in the India Road Atlas, Eicher Goodearth 2006: 40 C5).
NOTE 1: »Sookerit« (COCKBURN 1983b: 125) appears to correspond to the village indicated as Sukrit N24°54': E083°03'30" (Everest 1830) on the Survey of India sheet 63-P/01 (edition 1970).
