The suspicious place name Naganath Gudi (Cave [of the] Lord / God [of the mythical] serpent/s) is indicated next to the symbol for a temple near N15°54'05”: E75°44'25”: 540 m asl (Everest 1830) in a south-east facing glen above the left (north-west) bank of the Malprabha River and at a walking distance of 5 km or 6 km approximately east from the road junction and settlement Banshankari (note 1) and less than a kilometre on the left-hand side from the road to Shivayogimandir (note 2).
