Description
An unidentified cave called »Krem Wah Ulo« (Spindro Dkhar 1995 personal communication) was said to be situated at an estimated distance of 4 km (or so) in an unspecified direction from Lumshnong (±250 km 25°10'45”N: 92°22'25”E). ETYMOLOGY: The origin of the Khasi cave name has not been identified but appears to signify a "krem" or cave on a "wah" or stream specified by a cloud or two (note 1).
NOTE 1: u l'oh (Khasi; noun), the same as: u lyoh (SINGH, N 1906: 119), cloud (SINGH, N 1906: 119; SINGH, N 1920: 75; BLAH, E 2007: 52); mist (SINGH, N 1906: 119).
