Description
An about 10 m long rift cave (of gravitational or tectonical origin) in calcareous schist of Precambrian age (Chabert 1996.09.12, 1996.11.15 personal correspondence). ETYMOLOGY: »Cave names come from local people through our guide [Bhakta Pun]. The best I can do. For the spelling, cave names are also written in Nepalese alphabet. The best I can do also« (Chabert 1996.09.12, 1996.11.15 personal correspondence). SITUATION: Close to the trail at the village of (Naya = new) Banthanti (Bantati, Bantanti, Banthati) in the Burungdi Khola, and on the ascend from Birethanti to the Ghorepani Pass: »Possible to add some cave length to Bhakre Odar no.1 (see the cross section).« (Chabert 1996.09.12; 1996.11.15 personal correspondence).
