Description
A relatively large shaft c10x10 m at top c.30 m+ (McNally 2006.02.26 Mss: Krem Bliat 1) was not only interpreted as large shaft (Arbenz, T 2006.05.21 Mss: Abstracts.xls) but also as a large open surface shaft (Brooks 2006 undated Mss amendments to McNally 2006.02.26 Mss). ETYMOLOGY: The Khasi -u dieng bylliat- is the word for a hard wood used as posts (SINGH, N 1906: 67) and -ka dieng bylliet- (HARIDASAN & RAO 1985: 836-837) is the name of the gum tree (SINGH, N 1906: 67), botanically Morus macroura (JUNGH 1841: 42), but an outsider arrived at understanding that Krem Bliat (sic!) was named after tree at pot-hole (McNally 2006.02.26 Mss: Krem Bliat 1). SITUATION: On the one-hand side, the cave entrance to the first Krem Bylliat (Lumthari) was understood to lie in an unidentified setting somewhere in an unspecified Lumthari / Moolesngi area (Brooks, S J 2006 undated Mss amendments to McNally 2006.02.26 Mss) but on the other hand, it was also understood that exactly this cave entrance les not only in an unidentified spatial relation near (sic!) the village of Lumthari but also in an unidentified spatial relation (note 1) to the cave entrance of the 2nd Krem –>Bylliat (McNally 2006.02.26 Mss: Krem Bliat 1). APPROACH: Start at standing stones on ridge [i.e. Shnongrim Ridge] at N. 25-22-07.5 E 92-32-39.4 [note 2] head down [in an unidentified direction for an unspecified distance] towards cave at GPS above [note 3] (McNally 2006.02.26 Mss: Krem Bliat 1). CAVE DESCRIPTION: Large shaft c10x10 m at top c.30 m+ big echo from dropped stones (McNally 2006.02.26 Mss). PROSPECTS: The belief in the potential creation of lengthwise measurable distances in the course of measuring inside this shaft distances lengthwise was initially prophezised as good (McNally 2006.02.26 Mss: Krem Bliat 1) but within a few days bettered to excellent (Brooks, S J 2006 undated Mss amendments to McNally 2006.02.26 Mss).A relatively large shaft c10x10 m at top c.30 m+ (McNally 2006.02.26 Mss: Krem Bliat 1) was not only interpreted as large shaft (Arbenz, T 2006.05.21 Mss: Abstracts.xls) but also as a large open surface shaft (Brooks 2006 undated Mss amendments to McNally 2006.02.26 Mss).
