NOTE 1: »Samat khad« (CHADHA 1992: 14) is not identified as it is neither indicated on AMS sheet NI43-10 Punch (U502 series, 1960 edition) nor on the India Road Atlas (Eicher Goodearth 2006: 2 B4).
A noteworthy karst spring reports CHADHA (1992: 14) from the »khad« (khud, gorge) called Samat. SITUATION: CHADHA (1992: 14) positions »Samat khad« (note 1) near N33°07'10”: E074°54'10” (unidentified geodetic datum most likely Everest 1830) and thus at a spot about 8 km in a direct line east-northeast of Riasi / Reasi town.
