Description
Man-made, late Hinayana »cave temples« (rock-cut chaitya and vihara type chambers used for religious purposes), which had been noted in Gazetteer of the Bombay Presidency (1885, 19: 589), were rediscovered by MAURYA & THUSE (1995, location maps, ground plan). SITUATION: At the village of Tamakane, which lies 5.8 km north-west of Patan (N17°22': E73°54') in the Kera valley.
