Description

Herbert Daniel Gebauer - 06/01/2018

A rectangular cave entrance, all in all about 5 by 10 m wide, is blocked by five rectangular, fallen boulders which obscure a squeeze down to an undescended 5 m ladder drop into what looked like an initially horizontal canyon passage (Gebauer & Lamb 1999.03.30). IDENTITY: This item is possibly the same as Krem –>Wah Sapoh 2 (Jantschke 2005) and / or one of the cave entrances in the –>Gibbon Doline. SITUATION: The estimated 40 by 30 m wide and up to 20 m deep collapse doline or -shakehole- lies above the right (southern) bank of Wah Sapoh and had been hidden in vegetation in March 1999. At the base of the sheer walls this collapse doline are (more than?) two cave entrances: The larger one is Krem Wah Sapoh 2, the smaller Krem –>Wah Sapoh 3.
