Description
A relatively small cave entrance (0.5 m by 1 m large) lies a relatively small depression (without identified size, shape, or characteristics) where an unidentified stream (no name mentioned) sinks. SITUATION: On a bend of the road from Jowai to Dauki and adjacent to what had been in February 2000 an unidentified the first small settlement (no name mentioned) met with when travelling from Cave –>K3 near a settlement with an unknown name that lies at an estimated distance or 2 km from Nongtalang (collated after W Boyes, P W 2000.02.18 Mss: K3 …; 2000.07.21 personal correspondence; Elizabeth -Lizzie- Elvidge 2000.02.18 Mss: K3 …; BOYES, P W 2000 s.a.: 4, 8). WILKINSON, P (undated, circa 2000 -Sketch map showing the caves of Nongtalang-, square coordinate grid without geodetic datum, no scale, undefined magnetic? or geographic? north arrow, apparently compiled from GPS readings) indicates the letter K (Unicode 004 B) close to the south side of the road from Jowai to Dauki, about 1 km in adirect line northwest of Nongtalang, and some 0.7 km NNE from the Nongtalang Inspection Bungalow (25°12'24.7”N: 92°03'49.4”E WGS84). APPROACH: Working back to Nongtalang along a road K4 can be found on bend adjacent to [what had been in February 2000 AD] the first small settlement. It is situated in small depression were a stream sinks (Anonymous Boyes, P W 2000.02.18 Mss: K3 …). CAVE DESCRIPTION: This cave, on the one-hand side, is one among a group of small entrances (0.5 x 1 m) (Elvidge, E 2000.02.18 Mss: K3 …) and, on the other hand, one of small entrances (0.5 x 1 m).
