Description
An unspecified cave entrance (unidentified shape, unidentified dimensions, unidentified orientation, unidentified characteristics) is said to give access to a certain »cave near Kachwanpur [note], south of Mahabharat Lekh« (BANERJEE 1971: 155) which has yielded an almost rectangular celt of quartzitic sandstone, and of neolithic age.
NOTE: The relevant illustration (BANERJEE 1971: 154 figure 4) gives the location »Mackwanpur« (Makawanpur), a district in Narayani zone, Central Nepal region. No place called »Kachwanpur« (or so) is shown on the Central Service Map (1989) sheet 31: Makawanpur (1: 125'000). SHARMA (1996: 121) refers, without adding further details, to BANERJEE (1971) describing a celt from the »Kachwanpur cave.«
