This cave is mentioned in Sadiq & Nasir (2002). The Duhail Sinkhole has a large circular opening about 40m in diameter and with a depth of 5m. The hole is transitional to becoming a depression and the collapsed roof can still be seen in the centre of the opening. The Municipality of Doha City have previously used the sinkhole as a dump.
