A relatively deep pothole and comparatively beautiful cave with speleothems on (the north face? of) Pil Ghar Mountain (30°24'50”N: 67°26'45”E) in the Kach area (Ziarat district) has been explored, initially on their own, by members of the Chiltan Adventures Association. SITUATION: Phill Ghaar Ahmendoon / Killi Pichie Karaz, district Ziarat, Balochistan (Baabai, M. A. R. 1999.06.02 personal correspondence). CAVE DESCRIPTION 1999.05: Located in the area Peel [sic!] Ghar Mountain Range. An excellent lime stone deep descending cave, initially after entering a 5 m long walking [sized] area and then leaving an opening for a descend [into a shaft] were one needs ladder and ropes to get down. At the first attempt after going down 10 m a member [of the Chiltan Adventures Association] got injured and initial exploration was postponed to bring the injured member to hospital for treatment (Durrani Khan 1999 personal correspondence). CAVE DESCRIPTION 1999.06: I am pleased to inform you that weare succeeded to initially explored the Deepest descending & beautiful Cave of Pakistan (During 2nd attempt) in the great lime stone of Ahmandoon (Piel Gharr) Mountain range of District:-Ziarat. We explored this cave up to it's first Chamber which is coming after crossing a vertical section of above 100 m descending. This chamber is honoured with many white crystals of above 1 feet to 6 feet and from one inch to eight Inches wide in continued live formation. Its look like a Temple. This chamber have an opening and is also descending vertical section. Due to lack of ladder/Rope and other Caving equipments etc Mr. Hayat [Hayat Ullah / Hayatullah Durrani Khan] decided to see the second vertical section and chamber in future together with you in the 7th Pak-Britain Cave Exploration Expedition. However to know how more deep is the 2nd section (Part) Rafiq [M. Rafiq Mandokhail?] & Attaulah [Durrani?] thrown a stones in the opening and were listening the sound of the stones touching with te sides up to 13 seconds now you cane guess how more deep is the 2nd one?
