An unidentified number of unspecified baoris (LONELY PLANET, India 2005: 198-199) or water storage facilities (LONELY PLANET, India 1997: 657; LONELY PLANET, North India 2001: 734), which either may consist of stepwells leading underground or of daylight-lit water reservoirs in the open air, are situated at Kumbhalgarh (note 1), about 84 km north along the road from Udaipur (N24°35': E073°41').
