SITUATION 1983: At –>Ulvi. If we leave behind this cave [–>Akka Nagamma Gavi] and walk a few steps ahead [in an unidentified dircetion for an unspecified distance], there is Vibhuti Kanaja (Store-house of Vibhuti) (HIREMATH, P 1983b: 5). SITUATION 2002: Vibhutikanaja Gavi (note 1) lies at an unspecified location somewhere in the Ulvi village (N15°00'20”: E74°30'30” in Supa) and in the Joida taluk [note 2] (Yadava, M G 2002 Mss Thesis, chapter 4.3.1, page 95). POSITION 2007: WGS84 (unspecified precision error) N14°59'47.6”: E74°31'53.8”: 410 m asl (Matthalm, T 2007.02.01, estimation and GPS). POSITION 2008: WGS84 (as if ±0.3 m) N14°59'47.75”: E74°31'53.42” (Matthalm, T 2008 April, estimation after Google Earth). CAVE DESCRIPTION 1983: I is said that the Sharanas used to store Vibhuti [note 2] here. To bear witness to it there are white chalk stones [note 3]. They are heaped in monds [sic! probably for: mounds] in the centre of the cave. the stones have taken that shape. And these monds [sic!] of stones which are pale white are called the Store-house of Vibhuti (HIREMATH, P 1983b: 5). CAVE DESCRIPTION 2002: Vibhutikanaja Gavi is one of the comparatively small caves of unspecified nature and characteristics in unspecified rock (limestone) somewhere in the vicinity of Ulvi village (Yadava, M G 2002 Mss Thesis, chapter 4.3.1, page 95) . CULTURAL HISTORY: This [Vibhuti Kanaja] too is a sacred place. After all, the dwelling place of the Sharanas is indeed the very abode of salvation [i.e. mukti nath] (HIREMATH, P 1983b: 5).An unspecified cave entrance (unidentified shape, unidentified dimensions, unidentified orientation, unidentified characteristics) gives access to a cave called Vibhuri Kanaja (HIREMATH, P 1983b) or Vibhurikanaja Gavi (Yadava, M G 2002 Mss).
