Relatiely small seasonal springs of water rise at base of soil cones and give access to what had been interpreted as an about 2 m climb down to small stream running across base of soil cone (McKenzie 2007.02.20 Mss). SITUATION: East side of Letein [sic!] Valley (Brooks, S J undated 2007.12.18 Mss amendment to McKenzie 2007.02.20 Mss). POSITION: None (McKenzie 2007.02.20 Mss). SITUATION: At an unknown position as the GPS [note 1] identifies the drainage; risings are 5 minutes walk upstream (McKenzie 2007.02.20 Mss). APPROACH: From GPS [position near ±8 m 25°20'57.6”N: 92°33'35.0”E: 857 m, WGS84] in main [Litang] valley, travel up [note 2] meandering side creek on right bank thru [sic!] paddy fields. (Nose of ridge on right has distinctive karst towers with a large eye-hole thu [sic!] its top). Risings are on right, behind a dry stone wall, up against karst.
