Description
The first of what was believed to represent Two karst caves … reported to S. Breitenbach and M. Laumanns (INSPEX 2006) during their stay in Lakha Mandal [note 1] in March 2006. Both caves require significant access walks in steep terrain. One of the caves was said to be a 20 m deep vertical pothole with an ongoing horizontal passage. Details of the other cave could not be given (Laumanns & Breitenbach 2006.04.15 Mss). SITUATION: One of these two karst caves was said to lie NNW of Lakhamandal and close to a certain village of Nada (note 2) which may correspond to Nagaon or Nawagaon (note 3).The first of what was believed to represent Two karst caves … reported to S. EXPLORATION HISTORY: 2006.03.29: unidentified local communicators (no names mentioned) at the village of Lakha Mandal (Lakhamandal) reported a cave (no cave name mentioned) to Laumanns & Breitenbach (2006.04.15 Mss: Cave descriptions India Speleological Expedition 2006).
