Location
The Wat Tham Sri Thong temple is on an isolated sandstone hill just to the south-west of Ban Phu Hang on the H2299. The hill reaches an altitude of about 300m and is surrounded by the Korat Plateau.

Siriboon et al. (2013) claims the hill is limestone, but it is sandstone.
