Description
It it surprising to learn that a hole is the entrance (1 by 0.75 m large), which leads to a 2.5 m drop down into a passage or chamber that had been estimated to be, in one way or another, about 3 by 20 or 40 m large. Proceeding from there in an unspecified direction, a small stream can be followed either upstream or downstream over boulders and stal [speleothems] to where the roof lowers to a hands and knees crawl for 10 m to a sump (Harper 2008.02.08 Mss: Bokbema Cave.pdf). SITUATION: According to Harper (2008.02.10 Mss: Bokbema Cave.pdf), a local guide [is] essential to explain the whereabouts of Bolchu Nabang as it was understood to lie at the bottom of cliffs at the south end of a doline somewhere near Asakgre. According to the recorded GPS position (note 1), however, this Bokbema Cave (or so) lies in the Chibanda area (note 2) above the eastern (orographically left) bank of the Rompa (Rompha) River, and about half a kilometre upstream (approximately north) of –>Dangedkol. It it surprising to learn that a hole is the entrance (1 by 0.75 m large), which leads to a 2.5 m drop down into a passage or chamber that had been estimated to be, in one way or another, about 3 by 20 or 40 m large.
