Description
A »decidely inviting entrance« to a cave without recognised name was seen (note 1) some 10 m above the valley floor near »Machoi« or Machhoi (note 2) and, upon approaching Zoji La, on the left-hand side.
NOTE 1: »Dintorni di Machoi: a poche decine di metri dal fondovalle sulla dx [dextra], procendendo verso la Zojila Pass, un ampio ingresso decisamente invitante.« NOTE 2: »Machoi« (ANGELETTI RIGON et al. 1987) corresponds to the Machhoi at N34°18': E075°32' (nima.mil/geonames accessed 16.11.2003), which is not shown on AMS sheet NI43-07) at a linear distance of 5.4 km east-southeast of Zoji La (N34°17': E075°29' nima.mil/geonames, accessed 16.11.2003).
