Mutanda zone, Buzi district, Sofala province. GPS (WGS84) S 19°55’26, 1’’ / E 34°07'301’, ca. 120 m asl. Surveyed on 3 Sept. 1999 by Jens Römer (BCRA-Grade 2a). Length: 20,00 m. Vertical range: -5,50 m. The entrance of the 5,50 m deep vertical pit (ladder or SRT required) is situated north of Pequena Xonondo No. 8.
Description
The pit leads to a room with round shape of 10 m in diameter. Another vertical shaft, which does not reach the surface, goes up from the roof of chamber for SOme metres. No bats. No evidence of conglomerate infillings,
