Description
General description
Missouri speleology vol1, #1 : “The cave is large for about 40 feet, then begins to narrow and finally develops into a stoopway. At the point where it starts to get narrow, there is some breakdown that almost closes the passage. The first sign of a stream channel is beyond the breakdown, although the stream is dry except for a few isolated pools. Spongework and phreatic mud indicate the cave is phreatic in origin. However, as base levels lowered, the cave was exposed to the vadose action of the stream and was eroded in some places.”
