Description

Herbert Daniel Gebauer - 06/01/2018

A triangular, accidentally south-east facing cave entrance (about a metre wide and high) leads to a 5.8 m long, horizontal, single-passage cave in laterite, which arrives (on average a metre wide and up to 2 m high) slightly descending from the south-west. The cave seems to have had no cave entrance before it was eventually intersected when cutting the hill in preparation for laying the National Highway NH17. SITUATION: At one of the lesser attractive cave locations of India, which, in this case, is represented by the busy and noisy but dirty bus stop of the -new- village of Hatkamba, a road junction and settlement booming on the National Highway 17 at where the branch road downhill leaves for the -old- (original) village of Hathkamba (without GPS position). CAVE LIFE: Thomas Matthalm noticed on 27th January 2007 unspecified -spiders- (Arachnidae conf. Araneae) inside the cave.
