ZOOM ROCK GARDEN CAVE

The Government of India, Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region, had forwarded on 16th July 2007 a total of 6.36 lakh Rs (equalling about ¤ 12,250 or $ 20,000) to have, among 29 items, not only models of legendary bats (item 3) and entrance through tiger’s mouth --one above and one below (item 4) but also a replica of cave with snake & depiction of snake legends (item 9) and one tunnel (item 21) constructed from steel re-inforced concrete to develop village tourism in spite of the proposed Rockgarden (area: 12.4 hectare) at Zoom. CAVE LIFE: Apart from a colony of Secretary Sushma Singhs' Concrete Bats (Chiroptera: Ferrumconcretiidae: Ferrumconcretus Sushma Singh 2007), one can also expect a population of the Droll Rock Louse (Lithophaga lorioti Pschyrembel 1982).
