Description
Altogether nine man-made (neolithic) soil sunken pits (–>Kashmir Swat Pits) reported STACUL (1977, 1987, 1994) from somewhere near the village of Loe Banr (note 1) on the left (eastern) bank of the Swat River, 15 miles along the road upstream of Barikot, 5 miles upstream of Ghaligai, and adjacent to the road from Malakand (35 miles). CULTURAL HISTORY -- archaeology: STACUL (1977, 1987, 1994) excavated. SANT (1991: 205-206) and CONNINGHAM & SUTHERLAND (1997) interpreted the finds.
