An unspecified cave entrance (unidentified shape, unidentified dimensions, unidentified orientation, unidentified characteristics) was said to give access to an estimated more than 20 m long cave passage which was dry and housed on 5th February 2015 no bats ( (Anonymous [Arbenz T, Brooks S J et al.] 2015.04.03 Mss: Diary 2015.docx 5th February 2015 Thursday)). IDENTITY: Unknown. This cave, which housed on 5th February 2015 no bats, was found when searching for the bat cae Krem –>Tarong though even the local guide was not sure about the exact location [of Krem Tarong] (Anonymous [Arbenz T, Brooks S J et al.] 2015.04.03 Mss: Diary 2015.docx 5th February 2015 Thursday). ETYMOLOGY: No autochthonous, indigenous or locally known name has been identified for this cave which D. Khlur B. Mukhim found on his own when Daphyrnai Sariang, then acting as a guide from Umkyrpong, attempted to walk Brian D. Kharpran Daly, D. Khlur B. Mukhim and Oana Mirela Chachula from Umkyrpong westwards and via Kre –>Lyntong to Krem –>Tarong (Anonymous [Arbenz T, Brooks S J et al.] 2015.04.03 Mss: Diary 2015.docx 5th February 2015 Thursday). SITUATION 2015.02.05: Unknown. Somewhere west of Umkyrpong (25°26'04”N: 92°34'48”E) and at an unspecified location above an unidentified the stream (note 1) which was followed after Krem –>Lyntong had been spotted (Anonymous 2015.04.03 Mss: Diary 2015.docx 5th February 2015 Thursday). CAVE DESCRIPTION: Khlur followed the stream and found the cave. EXPLORATION HISTORY: 2015.02.05: Daphyrnai Sariang from Umkyrpong, then acting as a guide, walked Brian D. Kharpran Daly, D. Khlur B. Mukhim and Oana Mirela Chachula from Umkyrpong to the west, starting at the village end of the bridge [note 2], to find new caves. … the first one was Krem Lyntung, half an hour’s walk from the camp. … After having started the survey properly (8 series) they left because time was running. They wanted to locate Krem Tarong, which was said to be a bat cave. Even the local guide was not sure about the exact location but Khlur followed the stream and found the cave [–>AA Cave, Umkyrpong, Mukhim 2015] and no bats were found whereupon the cave was left unsurveyed for the time being (Anonymous [Arbenz T, Brooks S J et al.] 2015.04.03 Mss: Diary 2015.docx 5th February 2015 Thursday).
