Description
A collapse in sandstone caprock gives access to some 85 m of continuously sloping cave passage in dry mudstone / siltstone. About 20 m from the cave entrance, the initially T-shaped cross-section changes into a man-sized meander less than a metre wide. SITUATION: Near the top end and close to the edge of cuesta that lies about 65 km along dirt roads approximately east-southeast from Quetta in what Chiltan Adventurer's called the Zargun Mountain Range and what is indicated as Tora Kachai (note 1) on maps. EXPLORATION HISTORY: 1997.10.29: Simon J. Brooks, Hayat Ullah / Hayatullah Durrani Khan, Boycott, Antony 'Tony' and Peter N. F. Dowswell, assisted by CAAB members (Chiltan Adventurs Association, Balochistan), explored and 'surveyed' (sports caver standards) 85 m to a degree yielding a 'survey' (total sum of survey leg lengths) but no cave survey (cave plan)
