Description
A subterranean aqueduct (karez, kariz) reported MASSON (in: WILSON 1841: 88) from the left (northern) bank of Kabul river in the Jalalabad plain: From the caves and temples at Gudara [–>Fil Khana], an ancient aqueduct was conducted parallel to the course of the river beyond Bar Robat [Barabad N34°27'14”: E070°25'06” nima.mil/geonames accessed 16.11.2003]. In many places, it has been cut through the rock, and the water channel has been lined with cement.
