Mutanda zone, Buzi district, Sofala province. GPS (WGS84) S 19°55’25,3’’ / E 34°0731, 1’’. ca. 120 m asl. Surveyed on 2 Sept. 1999 by Artur Fernandes (BCRA-Grade 2a). Length: 17,00 m. Vertical range :-10,40 m. The entrance of the vertical pit (ladder or SRT) is situated 40 m north of Pequena Xonondo No. 1
Description
The upper part of the cave contains some loose rocks. After having passed this part, the shaft widens and leads down to a phreatic enlarged chamber with rocks on the ground. No bats. No evidence of conglomerate infillings.
