Description
A man-made, monolithic troglodyte rock-cut chamber at Sitamarhi, about 10 km south-west of Hisua (N24°50': E85°25') consists of a »A cave hewn in a large isolated boulder of granite. Tradition relates that here Sita, the wife of Kama, gave birth to Lava while in exile« (IMPERIAL GAZETTEER (1907-1909, 12: 198-199).
