Pataachar Caves

Location

There is a motorable road till the top of the cliff. The path is unpaved though. Use Google maps for the path and drive till 24.900573, 75.528675 and you can park your vehicle there. There is a small arch kinda structure to the entrance of the temple. The arch leads to steps that will take you to the bottom of the cliff. There are 2 caves here. Once you get down the stairs, there is a temple on your right hand side (RHS). You will have to remove your shoes and wash your legs from the mini stream before entering the temple. Once you enter the temple, while facing the deity, the cave is behind you. You will see a small tunnel behind you. You can bend go through the tunnel. This is a small cave. possible side channels have been blocked using rock slabs. In order to reach the second cave, you have go past the temple. And again on the RHS, you will see a mini steps cut on rocks that leads you to the bigger cave. This cave has amazing formations. but, some of them has been damaged by rogue humans.
