Description
A cluster of pothole cave entrances -- including some small and two larger ones -- leads directly into a 10 m wide and 20 m high passage aligned along about 220° (Groves 2002.02.08 Mss amended by Jarratt 2002.02.11 Mss). SITUATION: In a bouldery valley (Jarratt, Anthony 'Tony' R 2002 Mss: Cave Log entry for 8/2/02) and in an unidentified spatial relation to the first Krem Umjasew or Krem Umja 'Sew (Krem Umja Ksew, Krem Umshitja Ksew / Sew. APPROACH: Get securely seated, avoid awkward positions, and be prepared to withstand being told On stream right about 150 m further on the apparent terminus of the stream is reached in a circular, log strewn depression. Climbing up the stream right bank leads to a series of interconnected pitches, all lead into the same passage (Groves 2002.02.08 Mss: Krem Umjasew Entrance 2). TACKLE: 17 and 15 m rope (Groves 2002.02.08 & Jarratt 2002.02.11 Mss). PROSPECTS: The only pitch dropped was the most downstream one. CAVE LIFE: Groves (2002.02.08 Mss: rem Umjasew Entrance 2) recorded Frogs (or toads, not sure which), bats [Chiroptera], crabs [Crustacea], cave crickets.

EXPLORATION HISTORY: 2002.02.08: Boycott, Antony 'Tony' and Martin 'The Lump' Groves reconnoitered the stream valley of the Wah Umjasew downstream of Krem Umjasew / Umtijasew and discovered a cluster of entrances known to people familiar with the area since tie immemorial. 2002.02.09: M. Groves and Shelley A. Diegdoh dropped the 2nd Krem Umjasew, 'surveyed' (tape spotter standards) the southernmost pitch and connected it to the first Krem Umjasew.
