Description
At least three caves at the level of the riverbed are situated west of Khaddum village and above the orographically left (locally eastern) bank of Lunar river (Um Lunar, Umlunar). They are suspected to function sometimes as sinks and sometimes as resurgences, depending on the relative water levels of the Lunar and Lukha rivers. The first cave on the Lunar, estimated to be some 20 m long, lies some 30 m upstream from the confluence (25°09'27”N: 92°26'08”E) with the Lukha. A crawl across fallen boulders leads to a relatively small streamway without obvious air current.
