Description
A suspicious place name (Cave of the Ponds, Pools, Lakes). Situated on the 25 km long, north-south running ridge Milke Danda that divides the Arun and Tamur river valleys, and at a distance of 27 km from Basantpur (where the districts Sankhuwasawa, Dhankuta and Terhatum meet), a road head extension of the highway from Dharan to Dangkuta. Gufa / Gupha Pokhari lies between the villages Lam Pokhari (22 km from Basantpur, at 2750 m a.s.l.) and Milke Bhangjyang (28 km, 2970 m).
