Description
General description
A cave legend of the Monpa people (note 1) is said to refer to the time when mankind had been represented by the then solitary first ancestral mother who used to live in a cave but came out and was impregnated by a floating cloud whereupon she became the ancestor of the human race when she gave birth to a boy who grew up in the care of a certain supreme God Bun or Phramin (GHOSH, G K & GHOSH, S 1998c: 1).
