Description
One or several cave entrace(s) give access to a kind of cave (or lair, den, etc.), which is suspected to consist of a talus cave formed by dislocated boulders of the Proterozoic Tyrsad Formation. ETYMOLOGY: No autochthonous, indigenous or locally known name has been identified for this cave or lair, which here is called after the populated place Umran named after a shrivelled or ruffled stream (note 1). SITUATION: At an unidentified location somewhere in the vicinity of Umran (note 2). CULTURAL HISTORY - bear cub teasing ground: Last sunday (14th) a friend took me to his forest land which he had just bought recently at Umran. The idea was to explore a cave that was supposed to house a bear with cubs. Thank goodness we never found it (Kharpran Daly, B D 2002.04.20 personal correspondence). One or several cave entrace(s) give access to a kind of cave (or lair, den, etc.), which is suspected to consist of a talus cave formed by dislocated boulders of the Proterozoic Tyrsad Formation.
