Mutanda zone, Buzi district, Sofala province. GPS (WGS84) S 19°55’25,3” / E 34°0731, 1’’, ca. 120 m asl. Surveyed on 2 Sept. 1999 by Artur Fernandes (BCRA-Grade 2a). Length: 32.00 m. Vertical range: -20, 10 m. The entrance of the vertical pit (ladder or SRT required) is situated 60 m Southwest of Pequena Xonondo No. 1
Description
The pit with a rectangular cross-section widens towards the base where a small drainage continues to the SW. The ground is covered with rocks. In about -10 m a tube shaped passage intersects the pit from the NE to the SW. No bats. No evidence of conglomerate infillings.
