Apparently a Mesolithic rock-shelter with engravings (Indian Archaeology: A Review [IAR] 1982-83 / 1985: 7). SITUATION: Mahbubnagar, Kalvakurti taluk [note 1], Donglagattu Tanda village 16°40'N: 78°38'E (Indian Archaeology: A Review [IAR] 1982-83 / 1985: 7). CAVE POTENTIAL: The so-called Mesolithic rock-shelter (Indo-English Archaeologese) is, perhaps, a true cave with a dark, if not an aphotic or stygian zone, of which the entrance area seems to have sheltered humans and therefore was regarded as a rock shelter.
