Location
Mutanda zone, Buzi districi, Sofala province. GPS (WGS84) S 19°55’25.3" / E 34°0731, 1’’, ca. 120 m asl. Surveyed on 2 Sept. 1999 by Artur Fernandes and Jens Römer (BCRA-Grade 2a). Length: 20,00 m. Vertical range: -12,80 m, The cave is situated about 50 m N of Pequena Xonondo No.2.
Description
It is a pit of 13 m depth (SRT), with a size of 1,5 x 3 m in the beginning that remains constant to approximately 5 m above the ground. Here it widens to a chamber with the measures 5 x 7 m and a height of 4 m. The bottom is covered by rocks underneath the pit and with by fine grained material in the W part. No bats were seen. Also no traces of fillings with conglomerate were found.
