Tham Bucha [BK0021]

Location

This famous forest wat is located on the south-western escarpment of the Phu Wua Wildlife Sanctuary. It is accessed by a 5.25 km road which turns east off the H2013 in Ban Don Siat. Martin Ellis - 14/06/2019

Histoire

This was a favorite cave of the meditation monk Ajan Chuan. He moved here in 1964 with other monks intending to spend the next four rains retreats there. There were rumors the cave had many Buddha, some of them gold, but these had disappeared by 1964. Martin Ellis - 14/06/2019
