The third of the three cave entrances of Krem Raman (Ryman) is a pothole north-east of Krem –>Raman 2: A third shaft drops into a bedding plane which also joins this [Life Is A Drama- chamber above Black Spot Aven in Krem –>Umthluh] chamber (Jarratt 2002.02.19Mss: Meghalaya Cave Record). NARRATIVES: Jarratt 2002.02.19 (Mss: Cave Log: 19/2/02): Our jobs today were for Peter and I to survey from our last station in Umthloo up to the entrance(s) of Ryman… At one point I went through a bedding passage into the base of a daylight pot I assumed to be Thomas' Disappointment Hall entrance but later proved to be an unrecorded shaft to the NE of Shaft N° 2 and some 12 m above it's lip. This adds to the depth of the system but may have to be surveyed properly as the tape was not long enough to reach the underground station. Jarratt, A R 2002.02.22 (Mss: Cave Log: 22/2/02): Peter abseiled down and tied in to the Umthloo survey. The pot was exactly 40 m deep –46 m surveyed in all. Ich habe auch beim durchforsten der Powerbook-Festplatte darüber keine Daten gefunden (Sorry for the missing survey data… also could not find any on the hard disc …). Und vielleicht finden noch, so ungefähr eines Tages, am Rand irgendeines Zettels ...Arbenz, T (2002.04.19, personal correspondence): Bei den Daten handelt es sich um zwei Schachttiefen und zwei oder drei Anschlusslängen. Gemessen hat sie der Peter und aufgeschrieben habe ich sie - auf einen kleinen Notizblock, den Tony dabei hatte - Frage it : Gibt's den noch? (As matters the survey data they are two shaft depths and two or three connecting survey legs measured by Peter and written down by me in a small note pad which Tony had along with him. The question is: Does this still exist?). Me ask: You notepad have? Jarratt, A R (2002.04.28, personal correspondence): Thomas Abenz has the survey notes for Ryman Shaft 3 and the surface dimensions, detailed work of art, etc. the pot is exactly 40 m deep at 90° (vertical) with 6 m (?) horizontal leg to 1/33, 4/0 in Umthloo.
