Description
A -dark- but otherwise unspecified temple cave, apparently developed in limestone (note 1) and obviously dedicated to Kalika Devi (also: Kali, Kali Mata, Durga), a goddess sacred to Hindus and also to some Muslims (note 2), is situated about 5 or 8 km (IMPERIAL GAZETTEER 1907-1909, 6: 4-5) along the road south-east of Sukkur (note 3) and in the vicinity of the ruined, medieval town of Aror (note 4) in the Rohri Hills (note 5) on the left / south bank of Indus River.
