Description
Two unspecified cave entrances (unidentified shape, unidentified dimensions, unidentified orientation, unidentified characteristics) at the base of the limestone cliff on the eastern slope of –>Lum Lawbah Doline give access to what was identified as 434 m of enterable cave passage. CAVE DESCRIPTION: A relatively »large cave entrance« was noticed at an indistinct location somewhere »in the bushes. A steep slope led directly to a fine streamway coming from left to right [running N-S]. Uwe and Thilo ran up the downstream section and Tony [Antony Boycott] and I surveyed upstream in superb, roomy passage for some 260 m to a crystal clear sump pool in a heavily boulder choked collapse aven. A couple of well decorated upper passages [note 1] did not go far … The Germans found a similar amount of passage downstream ending in a partly flooded passage where a wetsuit would be an advantage« (Jarratt 1998.02.17 Mss Cave Log).
NOTE 1: The »upper passages« were and, perhaps, still are probably rather decorated with secondary calcite formations (unspecified speleothems) than with a »well« (Jarratt 1998.02.17 Mss Cave Log) or shaft sunk into the ground to obtain water, oil, or gas.
