NOTE 1: Jakrem near (±500 m) N25°23'22”: E091°30'13”: 1634 m asl (WGS84 modified from N25°23'20”: E091°30'23”: 5362 feet, Everest 1830, PALMER 1924 geol. map, plate 27). NOTE 2: The largest near (±250 m or more) Everest 1830 WGS84 N25°22'18”: E091°29'10”: 5148 ft N25°22'20”: E091°29'00”: 1569 m N25°20'08”: E091°29'40”: 5302 ft N25°20'10”: E091°29'30”: 1616 m N25°22'35”: E091°30'11” N25°22'37”: E091°30'01” N25°24'29”: E091°28'24” N25°24'31”: E091°28'14”
G M War (Shillong, North East Hill University, 1980.04.26 personal communication) told me that there is relatively »large cave« somewhere in the vicinity of Jakrem (note 1).SITUATION: Not known BUT PALMER, R W (1927 plate 27 geological map) shows in the vicinity of Jakrem several isolated, 100 m or 200 m to 2 km wide occurrences of undifferentiated »Cretaceous« (note 2) calcareous Langpar Sandstones and glauconitic Mahadek Arkose.
